National Association of Educational Office Professionals
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP) website! I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as President of this dynamic association and am excited to share information about NAEOP with you.
Our theme for this year is “Accept the Challenge – Become the Difference.” As office professionals in the education field, we are faced with a multitude of challenges on a daily basis. Our goal is to help others meet the challenges head on. We have the chance to help educational office professionals throughout the United States grow both professionally and personally.
By doing so, WE Become the Difference!
Working to build NAEOP’s future, I encourage all NAEOP members to Accept the Challenge by participating in professional development opportunities through your state and area conferences and by actively participating in membership recruitment and retention.
By doing so, YOU Become the Difference!
Reach out to your fellow NAEOP members, communicate your ideas and thoughts with each other and seek input of those that have served in leadership roles. Take time to brainstorm and formulate new ideas. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and bring these new ideas forward!
By Accepting this Challenge—you WILL Become the Difference!
By looking for the positive in each day, putting a smile on our face and tackling the challenges that come our way, it will be exciting to see the difference we will make for NAEOP in 2017-18.
Lisa Morehouse, CEOE
2017-2018 NAEOP President

The Founder of the National Association of Educational Office Professionals
Superintendents of 157 cities during 1934 were asked to recommend secretaries to represent their school systems for a proposed organizational meeting. Ninety-six secretaries responded. This effort was sparked by Louise Henderson Nelson who was active in the Philadelphia Clerical Assistants organization. Since that exciting day in the spring of 1934, the National Association of School Secretaries - later changed to National Association of Educational Secretaries, now the National Association of Educational Office Professionals - has developed outstanding programs for educational office personnel.
