Welcome to Fall! I hope that everyone has had a great start to their school year and is excited for a great year with DAEOP.
I am excited for the next two years and our theme of “Let Your Light Shine Bright”. My belief is that everyone has given talents, brilliance and beauty that should be allowed to shine and serve as encouragement and used to support as well as educate others.
Our light and brilliance are not dependent on others. Remember - it is impossible for darkness to extinguish light. Light will always shine. You may feel nervous or unsure, but that light is there and it is powerful. When we allow that light to shine, we live with purpose and power. We can see where we are headed, how to get there, and it makes us amazing and powerful!
If you had the opportunity to attend our Annual Professional Development Day in August, I hope you enjoyed each of the sessions you attended and felt empowered and encouraged to “Let Your Light Shine Bright”. Dr. Stephanie Smith did a wonderful job as our guest speaker encouraging each of us to find our own sign and to create our mindset to learn for the day. I thoroughly enjoyed the emails and pictures that were shared among the group that attended the Image Plan and Business Casual session.
I encourage each of you to become active members in DAEOP as we are moving forward to encourage professional development, leadership, and fellowship. Enjoy your Fall and remember to continue to “Let Your Light Shine Bright.”
